Maintenance Journeyman (2nd Shift) The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair in support of the facility and production equipment. In this role, the technician will work with a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. Superior logical-thinking and troubleshooting skills are critical. This position is critical to the safe and efficient operation of the facility. Location city, state: Spencer, WI Hours: 2nd Shift (1:15P.M-9:45PM) Mon-Fri Wage: $35.24 per Hour ($1.00 shift differential) Sign-On/Retention Bonus: $2,000 sign-on bonus. $500 sign-on bonus paid after successfully completing 90-days of employment. $750 retention bonus paid after successfully completing 6-month probationary period. $750 retention bonus paid after one year of employment. $7,500 Relocation Bonus for Wisconsin Residents Only. *Must possess Journeyman Card in Wisconsin or possess a master license* Required Qualifications & Experiences: 2 years of experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance 18 years or older Must Posses Wisconsin Journey Person Card or Master License. Basic computer skills Experience with several of the following: basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, conveyers, gearing, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, fabrication, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, pumps, prior diagnostic, and troubleshooting Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) Ability to effectively work and communicate with a variety of people, supervisors, employees and departments Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and possess basic mathematical skills Preferred Qualifications & Experiences: High School Diploma or GED Previous experience in a high-speed industrial work environment, preferably in a feed-mill or dairy plant. Possesses higher level mechanical aptitude with abilities in many of areas of skills such as: basic electrical, compressors, welding, conveyors, gearing, hydraulics, packaging, robotics, PLC, fabrication, pneumatics, pumps, preventative maintenance. Experience with mechanical systems, utilizing product manuals, troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, and reading mechanical drawings. Ability to be flexible in work performed and schedule Self-reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision Customer focused and able to work in a collaborative team Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) Ensures a safe working environment for self and others while performing assigned tasks Able to work in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include: Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime Travel: N/A Applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check.
