Shift Hours: 4:45 PM – 5:15 AM Wage Rate: $ 24.83 Job Summary: Monitor overall cheese making process to maintain high quality and productivity standards. Proficient in all phases (process and CIP of equipment), including, but not limited to the job duties listed below. Maintain a safe work environment and meet all established quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Initiate startup, shutdown, teardown, CIP/COP and operation of all equipment. Perform readings, maintain logs & perform testing as needed. Sanitation of fermenter room. Provide barrel filling coverage as needed (approx. 5-7 pm). Provide break relief for barrel closers and other associates as needed. Assist in completion of Master Sanitation Schedule items & other cleaning as needed. Effective liaison for management/associate communication, procedures and GMP’s. Perform light equipment/building maintenance as required. Ensure good communication between different process technicians & shifts. Provide cross training for all jobs in the AM dept. Complete Catalyst transactions as necessary. Fully participate in and support the following programs: Safety, LQMS, BRC, LPS and LMS. Follow all sanitation and quality SOP’s to ensure all equipment is clean and ready for production. LEAN Manufacturing – Contribute to a continuous improvement environment by participating in activities to include line side problem solving. Participate in 5S program to contribute to a safe and organized work environment. Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all department paperwork Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP guidelines and LQMS requirements Actively contribute to a behavioral based safety culture by completing a minimum of one behavioral observation (BOS) per month. Demonstrate working knowledge of machine operations and overall production process Other duties as assigned by Shift Lead or Production Manager Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred Prior high speed, high tech manufacturing experience Requirements: Ability to contribute in a team work environment Ability to perform basic math equations Ability to utilize computers & software programs proficiently Ability to communicate effectively to ensure product flow to next work station Ability to perform problem solving skills, apply creative thinking, use resources, and make effective decisions Ability to effectively plan and organize Ability to contribute to a safe and organized work environment Ability to work variable shifts, weekends, and/or holidays Ability to meet the physical demands of the position outlined in the Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) Ability to learn new skills and adapt to change as the organization continues to improve processes Ability to draw conclusions based on analysis of data from multiple sources Maintain prompt and regular job attendance Ability to read and write effectively in English Land O'Lakes, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) M/F/Vets/Disabled.
