Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for streamlining the execution of distribution and fulfillment processes for proprietary seed. This role will champion distribution and shipping support for seed in Winfield United, and improving the Seed customer experience by streamlining system processes.
This position will be a lead for collaboration and interface with the Customer Service team, Seed Supply team, Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain Operations teams.
Job Duties:
- Champion process improvement across the organization for seed distribution and shipping, including the evolution of Supply Chain Control Tower tools to create efficiencies for the key business partners.
- Ensure appropriate processes are in place to capture synergies and efficiencies with ERP systems.
- Focus on streamlining the distribution and fulfillment processes - Seed customer order execution.
- Own relationships with WFU Supply Chain Operations teams (ASCs/Hubs) to deliver Supply Chain efficiencies, including leveraging network Hub & Spoke and fleet assets to facilitate seed shipping at reduced costs.
- Responsible for managing finished goods inventory placement and deployment.
- Champion collaboration and process alignment opportunities between CPP & Seed Distribution teams.
- Work in conjunction with the Seed Supply and Customer Service teams to support all aspects of seed shipping.
- Support overall efforts in meeting proprietary seed shipping targets throughout the course of a season, and assist in efforts to track and communicate progress vs. target levels as needed.
- 3rd party plant responsibilities to include: 1. Establishing shipping capacity from production facilities. 2. Responsible for JDE 9.2 systems training with production facilities.
- Maintain participation in Sales & Operations Planning meetings, weekly Seed team meetings and Supply Update calls, Regional calls with Area Service Center teams, etc.
- Lead role in providing updates as needed in regard to established targets, KPI's, metrics, etc.
- Maintain involvement in the evolution of systems and data management to include: 1. JDE 9.2 improvements and enhancements. 2. Evolve platform improvements and enhancements. 3. Item/change requests with Master Data Management
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree Supply Chain or equivalent
- Experience within Supply Chain Planning, Operations Management, and/or Supply Chain Management.
- Great communications and quantitative skills
- Ability to analyze, provide insight, and make decisions in a timely manner.
- Able to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Ability to understand and read Power BI reports
- Distribution Planning experience
- Demonstrated ability to work with various software platforms. (JD Edwards, Evolve, etc. )
