What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant position at Landscape Details?
Successful landscape design and construction company seeking team player for our fast-paced accounting assistant position. Responsibilities would include the following:
- Receive and sort incoming payments
- Manage the status of accounts and balances and identify inconsistencies
- Issue bills, receipts and invoices
- Use daily worksheets along with client contracts to calculate what charges are due
- Maintain accurate spreadsheets, client files and records
- Make copies of worksheets for maintenance division, copies, filing, mailing, etc.
- Make collection phone calls on all past due escalated accounts
- Assist with other duties and responsibilities as needed
- Demonstrate flexibility
- Phone coverage as needed
Required Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and critical thinking skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality/professionalism
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of management and clients
- Demonstrate flexibility, learn and adapt to changing software
- Maintain confidentiality in matters related to this position and company business
- Conduct one’s self in appropriate and ethical manner
- Proficient in Excel, MS Office and willingness to learn the company software
- Sage 300 CRE experience is a plus
