Job Summary:
The Associate Vice President of E-Commerce is responsible for the E-Commerce P&L for Pep Boys working closely with the head of Marketing and other groups such as IT and Operations to maximize the business potential of our E-commerce channel. This position reports to the Chief Strategy Officer of Pep Boys and is a senior role with a lot of influence on the overall performance of the company and visibility to senior leadership.
The ideal candidate will have a extensive experience in various aspects of E-commerce with past responsibility for managing an end-to-end E-commerce business. Experience in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment is a must with an ability to keep multiple, complex projects moving forward simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the Pep Boys’ E-commerce environment to maximize customer service and profitability.
- Create strategies which harness business-performance insights, marketing data, and operations planning to continue to increase sales.
- Provide direction to the technology team, without a direct-reporting relationship, to create a world-class, well run E-commerce site for our customers.
- Providing recommendations for capital spending to increase the performance of the business.
- Serve as the competitive expert in the company to understand what others are doing in our industry with a goal to create the best E-commerce experience for our customers.
- Ability and develop a creative vision for the business / customer experience with the IT team and other business units.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 7 years in various E-commerce roles including team leadership.
- Strong business and analytical skills to manage the P&L of a large, complex E-commerce business.
- Ability to create a vision for the business and translate that vision into reality for the business with a high sense of urgency.
- Sound knowledge of prevailing procedures and techniques in E-commerce.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully present ideas and strategies to senior leadership.
