Position Summary
The Supply Chain Business Analyst reports directly to the Director of Supply Chain and will support other leaders of the Supply Chain organization as well. As a valuable team member, this individual will be responsible for tracking, managing, reporting, forecasting, validating, and continuously improving the key performance indicators (KPI's) developed to monitor overall supply chain performance. Key positions in the company serviced by this position are:
- SVP of Supply Chain
- VP of Distribution
- Director of Inventory
- Regional Operations Managers
- General Managers
This position is located at our corporate office in Bala Cynwyd, PA.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Publish and manage ongoing, timely daily reports, summaries of KPI's, and actual performance to business plans/goals, other ad hoc projects including key tactical and strategic initiatives
- Ensure the integrity of and validate the data supplied by the operations teams, the ERP system and other databases used to report metrics and performance
- Serve as the initial point of contact for the reporting of issues with operations, data, existing KPI's and act as the primary decision maker for the prioritization of real-time issue resolution
- Develop, publish and conduct training on the standard operating procedures regarding when, where and how key data is assimilated in order to provide the daily, weekly and month to date report summaries and KPI's
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain leadership to develop, test, and implement new key performance metrics and conduct ad hoc root cause analyzes
- Act as a source of operations and supply chain knowledge and problem-solving capabilities to deliver sound analyses, recommendations, and actionable improvement programs across the organization
- Work with other departments of the business such as Finance, IT, Inventory, Transportation and HR as needed for routine reporting of KPI's, continuous improvement and ad hoc projects
- Identify opportunities for process improvement (people, process or technology) to increase efficiency within the Supply Chain organization
- Assist in the periodic reviews of the various activities performed in order to improve the quality and productivity of services provided to the business
- Support and assist in the automation of data collection, reporting and dashboards to reduce costs, improve accuracy and service level in order to free up time so additional value added work and projects can be completed to better serve the business
- Participate in field observations, training and analysis to drive consistency of data across the supply chain for ongoing KPI's and ad hoc research for key project initiatives
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics or related field is required
- 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations or related field is required
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access is required
- Proficiency with SQL database and SAP is required
- Experience working with Blue Ridge or other Inventory Replenishment Tool is required
- Experience with Power BI is preferred
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
