What You Can Expect Working in the Financial Analyst Position
The key responsibilities of the Financial Analyst involve conducting financial planning and analysis for RedGuard management, as well as collaborating with financial institutions and external vendors. The primary focus of day-to-day activities will revolve around updating and analyzing financial models to ensure the accuracy of information for informed decision-making by management. The Financial Analyst will have interactions with all departments, primarily engaging with front-line managers and directors to understand departmental needs and their alignment with the overall organizational objectives. The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial stability of the organization and facilitating decision-making processes by providing timely and relevant information to the management team. The Financial Analyst will require occasional collaboration with external financial institutions and customer interactions to support various financial activities.
Responsibilities
- Update projection models regularly, incorporating actual data each month, and revising assumptions and projected data on a weekly basis to ensure projections remain accurate and aligned with the latest information available.
- Compile and summarize data to provide comprehensive information to the management team. Prepare reports, presentations, and deliver findings, analysis, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
- Streamline reporting processes by implementing automated reports, enabling efficient access to data for all relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and track financial performance by comparing actual results against the planned targets, identifying and investigating variances, and reporting them to management.
- Support the Annual Tax, Audit, and Appraisal processes by providing the necessary financial information and analysis.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned, providing insightful financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment, adhering to safety and security procedures, and holding others accountable for maintaining safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years of financial analysis experience and/or accounting experience.
- Proven experience in reporting, forecasting, analyzing financial information, driving process improvements, and contributing to financial planning activities.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel for complex data analysis, self-sufficiency, and modeling.
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify issues, analyze data, and provide sound recommendations.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear presentation of financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL and relational databases, enabling efficient data extraction and manipulation for financial analysis purposes.
- Proficiency in utilizing Power BI or other business analytics software to visualize and analyze financial data, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, such as operations, sales, or marketing, to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis and reporting.
- Experience in analyzing and evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and assessing financial risks associated with capital investments.
- Experience in conducting financial modeling, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decision-making processes.
