Job Highlights
- Safe and efficient operations of the maleic anhydride unit by supporting and participating in all related projects
- Ensure all Safety and Environmental policies are followed
- Follow good housekeeping practices to ensure area meets expectations
- Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed
- Ability to train on all operations within the area
- Monitor the process in the field and/or in control room and make necessary adjustments to ensure safe and reliable plant operations
- Report unusual and unsafe conditions
- Identify routine maintenance requirements
- Participate in activities and meetings which will enhance plant safety, reliability, cost and environmental performance as well as area production objectives
- Demonstrate behavior consistent with site standards and coach others to do the same
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Degree in Process Technology
- Previous experience in chemical plant operations preferred
- Must be able to work twelve-hour rotating day/night shifts and overtime as needed
- Able to lift and carry 40 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and the use of SCBA/fresh air
- Able to pass background check for TWIC card
- Mechanical aptitude (working with hand tools needed for plant activities and minor maintenance)
