We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, enthusiastic and inclusive staff member to join our Operations Division as a Senior Accounting Technician!
The Senior Accounting Technician works on the DHS Accounting Team Monday through Friday in a hybrid-remote environment, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The Accounting Team provides support in the following areas: Accounts Payable, Mileage Reimbursements, Travel Reimbursements, Commercial Cards, CSBG/LCF Grants, Payroll, Trusts, EBT Client Cards, CCAP, and CORE.- Responsibilities
Specifically, this position:
- Maintains payroll records, time sheets and computes necessary payroll calculations and prepares payroll summaries.
- Compiles and tabulates data and balances payroll records.
- Backs up the EBT windows, issuing EBT cards to clients while providing outstanding customer service.
- Provides assistance to other employees regarding policies and procedures.
- Maintains records, statements of accounts, summaries and reports.
- Works with data processing to correct and improve computer information and reports.
- Implements and maintains efficient filing systems.
- Researches clerical accounting problems and recommend procedures to correct problems.
- Reviews, verifies, and corrects standardized reports of accounting information.
- Enters accounting data in computer, ledger and other accounting records.

- Qualifications
All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Associate's Degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
- Three (3) years of experience maintaining financial and statistical records in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.

This is a hybrid position and will require at least one day/week in the office. You will be required to have adequate internet access and space for remote work. Larimer County provides an annual remote work stipend to assist with equipment and office supply needs for remote workspaces.
In office hours will be located at one of the following three locations: 1501 Blue Spruce Drive, Fort Collins, CO 2555 Midpoint Drive, Fort Collins, CO 200 Peridot Avenue, Loveland, CO.An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of required pre-employment testing. Depending on the position, these checks may include, but are not limited to; reference checks, motor vehicle reports, employment verification, education verification, fingerprinting, criminal history information, physical, and a drug screening.
