This position provides information and directions to visitors at locations in Larimer County's parks and open lands including visitor centers, campgrounds, and any other designated visitor contact station.

This is a temporary position that may last up to 11 months.
This position may work weekends and holidays.

Specifically, this position:
- Greets park visitors and provides information on recreation opportunities.
- Sells park permits to visitors.
- Completes shift reports.
- Prepares bank deposits.
- Operates calculator, credit card terminal, and/or check converter.
- Follows procedures in keeping permits, cash, checks, and credit card receipts secure.
- Refers visitors to camp hosts, rangers, and other staff as needed.
We are looking for a candidate that will:
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the county's parks and open lands.
- Use basic mathematical computations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Use a credit card terminal.
- Handle and balance daily money and permits.
- Organize tasks and paperwork efficiently.
- Have customer service and cashier experience.
All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.
- Six (6) months experience in customer service, public relations, and general maintenance preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Some college courses in Natural Resources Management, Park and Visitor Services Management, General Ecology and Biology, Wildlife Biology, or a related field preferred.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred.
