Larkin Precision is a leader in precision grinding operations for several industries locally (aerospace) but also quite diversified outside of the local economy. We use specialized, mechanical grinding equipment to finish and size various types of metal parts.

We are seeking an administrative assistant to facilitate various office related tasks (email, ERP system, record keeping) and also shipping/receiving duties as needed. This person is responsible for interfacing with our customers, being detail oriented, and a team player. Our administrative position does include some light duty shipping/receiving responsibilities. Our shop environment is safety sensitive and as such we maintain a drug free workplace, we do require pre-employment drug testing, including testing for marijuana. This admin role is also expected to have the ability to learn to drive a forklift. We provide training for forklift operation, all that is required is a positive and willing attitude. As an administrative assistant, you will be working on a fast paced, close knit team that is always moving and staying customer focused.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to manage email account and type 40 words per minute
Communicate effectively (spoken and written) to managers, customers and vendors
Local driving of company vehicles (1 day per week), clean driving record required.
Simple arithmetic and math skills
Data Entry (Excel and ERP)
Assist Office personnel in various administrative tasks and errands
Generate job related paperwork through the ERP system
All other duties as assigned
Forklift certified (will train)
Qualifications:
Excellent communication, ability to work well with others
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to lift 40 lbs
Education/Experience
High School diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience or training
