Junior Graphic Designer-Packaging

LaRose Industries d/b/a Cra-Z-Art, a Toy & Craft Manufacturer located in Randolph NJ, is seeking a talented Junior Packaging Graphic Designer to join our in-house creative team. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and highly motivated, has a great personality, and a passion for delivering creative designs to become part of our growing art department. The Designer will assist in the development of packaging for our line of children’s crafts, activity sets, and fashion products, as well as working within certain clients’ strict style guides. While focusing on mechanical preparation for print-ready files and revisions. Previous full-time experience is a must.

Tasks/ Responsibilities

• Work Directly with Art Director, Project Managers, and Creative Team
• Strong Command of Visual Design Capabilities, Including Composition, Layout, Information Hierarchy, Typography, and Color Judgement
• Ability to follow design layouts and implement trade dress across multiple SKU's for our line of crafts, activity sets, and fashion products
• Photoshop Skills a plus
• Ability to render in 3D a plus
• Produce Factory Ready Final Art Files for Final Production
• Able to Follow Client Style Guides

Qualifications

• Must Have 3-5 Years of Full Time Graphic Design Experience (packaging experience a plus)
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite for Mac: Illustrator & Photoshop
• Must Have Portfolio and Proven Experience in Designing Packaging (paper box, blister cards, etc.) (PLEASE SUBMIT PORTFOLIO ONLINE OR PDF)
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Strong Organizational Skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced and creative environment, all the while maintaining an enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Excellent Time Management Skills to Meet Strict Deadlines

Required Experience

• Design Experience: 3-5 Years in an agency or in-house art department
• Adobe Illustrator: 3-5 years’ experience
• Adobe Photoshop: 3-5 years’ experience
• Photography skills a plus
• Toy design experience a plus

Education/Background:

• Degree in Graphic Design preferred or work equivalent.

• Minimum 3 to 5 years or more working experience in related field.

• Must send portfolio – PDF and/or URL link.

Job Type: Full-time 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM on-site.
