Forestry Consultant

Job Title: Forester

Larson & McGowin, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Forester to join our team. As a Forester, you will be responsible for assisting with the forest management of client properties located in south Alabama.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct timber inventory and timber marking
• Prepare and administer timber sales
• Develop stand-level silvicultural prescriptions
• Contract forestry-related services
• Participate in consulting and field projects across the U.S. Southeast

Qualifications and Abilities:

• Bachelor's Degree in Forestry or related field
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Time management skills
• Ability to work in remote outdoor locations in various weather and forest conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

• 0-5 years experience in forestry field work
• Field proficiency with various forest inventory/mensuration techniques and methodologies
• Knowledge and experience with GIS software (i.e., ArcGIS)
• Registered Forester or meet the necessary requirements to obtain this designation or equivalent within 2 years from date of hire
