Job Overview
This grant funded position is charged with providing the primary support needed for overseeing the
life cycle of the American Rescue Plan Act grant processes for LaSalle County, and related work as
apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the County Board Chairperson.

Responsibilities and Duties
The position includes but may not be limited to the following responsibilities:
- Participate in the writing of documents, web materials which may include
marketing/media items for the ARP program
- Handle creation and maintenance of documents necessary for the administration of the
- Serve as the primary monitor and collections individual for incoming applications
- Handle communication between ARP grant applicants and the County Board
- Upon receiving applications:
✓ Determine applications are complete
✓ Communicate with applicants
✓ Review, compile and assign tracking information
✓ Send applications on to the Finance Committee and then to the Full Board
✓ Send replies and subsequent notifications to grant applicants
- Oversee the distribution of the ARP grants and ensure that objectives are accomplished
according to federal, state, and local regulations
- Work with Auditor staff to review reimbursement requests and track fund disbursement
- Work with Finance Committee to assist in ARPA process
- When necessary, attend bid events to confirm appropriate fund usage
- Keep records of ARPA award for LaSalle County
- Prepares status reports for Finance Committee, Auditor and County Board; this includes
gathering final data from all grant awardees regarding their use of funds
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with coursework in Business Administration, Public administration,
Grant Management, Finance, or related field and moderate experience with grant
administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Highschool diploma required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver’s License
