- Fill in for the shift supervisor whenever needed.
- Understand labor variance and efficiencies.
- Ability to run production schedule and track orders for on-time shipments.
- Ensure that all employees are using PPE where required.
- Ensure that all work is set up and distributed.
- Setup machine crews at start of shift.
- Assist in the maintenance of all the equipment. Bar Leveling/Safety adjustments. Minor sewing maintenance.
- Forward all personnel concerns and/or suggestions to the supervisor or human resources representative.
- Be familiar with all facility and administrative procedures and functions including labor and material variances, all standards; (stock and non-stock), and all personnel within each department.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment; perform random safety checks making necessary corrections immediately and promote safety importance.
- Assist in development, documentation, and implementation of training programs for each employee.
- Continually review and assess manufacturing processes and make recommendations on possible improvements.
- Be familiar with key customers, distributors, and dealers.
- Develop individual skillset for future succession.
- Perform any other functions deemed necessary by the shift supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and identify color variances.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must have 5 years in depth product manufacturing knowledge.
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling - approx.30 lbs.
- Good Math skills
- Good Computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work overtime and flexible schedule when necessary.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership skills
