About the Role

The Manager of Applications Development is an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the activities and operations of the firm’s web development team, while managing the design, launch, execution, and security of the firm’s intranet and extranets. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

• Setting and enforcing coding standards for .NET and associated technologies
• Guiding mobile application development and proposing mobile development best practices
• Ensuring secure management of the source code repository and adherence to development protocols
• Collaborating with other development leadership to ensure excellence and coherence in software solutions
• Advising on hiring, mentoring, and disciplinary actions for the development team, which includes performance management, goal setting, and establishing metrics

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Possess leadership skills in change management and the ability to establish a culture of accountability
• Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving, system design, and analytical capabilities
• Display effective communication skills with technical and non-technical staff

And have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent
• Microsoft certifications, preferably
• A minimum of three (3) years of managing a development team
• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in software development
