What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master File Maintenance Specialist position at Latham & Watkins LLP?
- Verifying and opening all client matters and timekeeper master setups, including billing rates and exception rate hierarchies
- Confirming client arrangements for special rate needs
- Ensuring the file setup is done appropriately
- Evaluating and inputting the appropriate billing and exception rates into the Elite billing system
- Coordinating with attorneys, legal secretaries, Human Resources Managers, and accounting personnel regarding the receipt of required data, supporting documentation, and approvals in accordance with billing policies and procedures
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Possess the ability to comprehend and accurately perform mathematical functions
- Exhibit analytical skills needed to correctly comprehend and communicate data
And have:
- A high school diploma or an equivalent; with a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent, preferably
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in legal billing or billing audit within a professional services organization
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience with Elite Billing system, preferably
