Lab Technician/ Specimen Collector Male

PART TIME POSITION

MEDICAL/SPECIMEN COLLECTION/LAB TECHNICIAN- MALE

Duties:

Perform all testing/collection procedures for drug, alcohol, DNA, clinical testing - urine, breath, saliva, hair, and fingerprinting. Possible phlebotomy opportunities with certification.

This position REQUIRES a male employee in order to perform observed collections on male clients from time to time.

Continuous professional development and training within all relevant job functions.

Communicate accurately, timely, and confidentially with clients, Designated Employee Representatives, and Medical Review Officers.

Work under the direct supervision of the Lab Manager.

Office administration, record keeping and upkeep, adhering to all relevant state/federal regulations, as well as all company policies and procedures.

Maintain established protocols and electronic customer records management.

Answer phones, schedule appointments.

Perform basic cleaning to comply with lab protocol/daily office cleaning duties.

May occasionally perform after-hours collections, as well as on-site collections at various workplaces as directed.

Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

• Employee needs to be a male.
• Trained (by either our own corporate trainer or other approved third party) on DOT collection and alcohol breathalyzer testing and trained/qualified in all other areas of Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to relate well/work well with clients and co-workers.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Meet any and all local, state, or federal regulations and laws to perform listed duties.
• Available and willing to work 8:30/9:00am to 4:30/5pm, including, on occasion, on-site visits.
• Demonstrated high personal standards of honesty and integrity.
• Ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
• Calm demeanor and ability to resolve conflict.
• Professional attitude in manner, appearance, and observance of client confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate with all clients and potential clients on all aspects of drug & alcohol testing services that the company offers including detection times, reason for tests, costs, benefits, etc. in order to explain needs for tests and recommend the best options.
• Non-smoker is preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
