EOP Housing Support Coordinator
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, 1.0 FTE
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Location: Main office - 410 NE 18th Ave. Portland, Or
COMPENSATION: $24.00 hourly

In this role you will support our community by:
- Coordinate incoming referrals from partner agencies.
- Confirm eligibility and administer rental assistance funds.
- Provide, assertive engagement, triage services, and navigation services to referred families.
- Provide direct support in housing placement and eviction prevention to eligible participants.
- Advocate and negotiate with government agencies, and other community partners on behalf of clients.
- Identify, build and maintain effective relationships with landlords, property managers and community resources.
- Provide support services with Re-housing search and rental applications.
Provide community education and resource services.
- Encourage participants to advocate for themselves with the resources provided.
- Participate in weekly collaborative meetings, team meetings, and supervision meetings with all partner agencies.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate individualized, strength-based client success plans for housing.
- Form and maintain in positive working relationships with supervisor, co-workers, clients, and community stakeholders.
- Respond to emergency situations; provide crisis intervention with angry clients or in volatile situations.
- Maintain knowledge of the community, justice system and issues related to community safety.
- Respond to all crises and risk incidents within the required time frames per Latino Network policies and Multnomah County.
- Adhere to documentation requirements as indicated in Latino Network and Multnomah County policies.
- Model and encourage direct, effective communication.
- Maintain organized client records and assist in client files documentation requirements.
- Data entry into Latino Network case management database as well as iTrac, Service Point.
Requirements

- Associate Degree or equivalent training and a minimum of two years’ experience in the field of education, social services or related human service industry.
- Bilingual English-Spanish and cross-cultural knowledge and skills.
- Cultural connections to and understanding of communities of color.
- Lived experience that reflects that of the students and families to be served in the school community.
- Positive kid management and communication skills. Excellent coordinating and organization skills including the ability to engage a broad spectrum of community members in Latino Network programs and activities.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Publisher to create promotional materials, spreadsheets and perform data entry.
- Ability to communicate directly and effectively both orally and in writing.
- Positive outlook and sense of humor under stress.
- Ability and willingness to work as a team member and support the mission and goals of Latino Network.
ADDITIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Successful completion of initial and ongoing employment screens, including but not limited to criminal background and vehicle record as required.
- Regularly work in the community in a “mobile office” and in the office as needed.
- Evening and weekend availability required, and work hours are flexible to accommodate program implementation; long hours during peak periods.
- Reliable car, drivers license, and automobile liability insurance; must be eligible to be an insured driver under Latino Network’s Commercial Auto Liability.
