Position Summary
Dispatches drivers and provides driver and customer support. Arranges schedules for drivers, communicates with warehouse to ensure timeliness of loads readiness for shipment. Maximize all full truckload shipments by combining multiple orders. Schedule both inbound and outbound freight daily. Maintain communications with all interested parties throughout the delivery process to ensure and facilitate the best possible product delivery. This position will also assist in AP responsibilities throughout the week.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Computer skills with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills is preferred.
- Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations is preferred.

- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish preferred).
- Intermediate computer spreadsheet and word processing.
- Understanding of financial process.
- Excellent organization skills and logical thinking.
- Excellent customer conflict resolution abilities.
- The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented.
- Excellent follow through on daily tasks and projects.
- Experience with AP processes.
- Experience with refrigerated deliveries is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Dispatches and monitors the movements of customer's freight. Daily communications are customarily done via wireless tablets and/or cell phones, other interactive electronic devices, or face to face.
- May make route adjustments or accommodations for deliveries, based on time of departure, destination, and expected time of return.
- Duties customarily involved in all aspects of pickups and deliveries and track shipments from inception through completion.
- Champion daily calls with carriers for delivery status and discussion on next steps if issues.
- Work closely with Customer Service daily on additional loads and issues that may have occurred prior to delivery.
- Communicate with warehouse on any additional loads or changes that may have occurred during the day.
- Tracks and monitors inventories of Latitude 36 totes at customers locations and schedules returns.
- In charge of resolving any issues that may affect the scheduled times for pickup or delivery. These problems normally include mechanical problems with trucks, delays due to traffic or weather challenges or changes requested by the customer regarding times or locations.
- Follow all required safety policies and DOT laws.
- Update information and systems as required.
- Review and record, requests for accessorial charges based on shipment records.
- Assist Logistics Manager Monitoring Fleet Equipment.
- Be able to assist the AP department with invoicing.
- Manage multiple spreadsheets for freight and accounts payable.
- Other projects and responsibilities, as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting, climbing stairs.
- Normal vision, hearing sensitivity and manual dexterity is necessary in position.
