Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Meet the team:

The Embedded Software Team provides Classical AUTOSAR, Adaptive AUTOSAR, for the software engineering team. We support both QM and ASIL applications on a variety of embedded targets such as Aurix and ARM. Projects often impact all levels of the stack from BSW to Application and often require cross functional collaboration with other engineering teams. Our team is small but has a strong passion for technical excellence and rigorous compliance with ASPICE and ISO26262. We are currently looking for both experienced and senior level embedded software engineers to join our team.

What you’ll do: 

• Ownership of embedded software features end-to-end from concept through delivery
• Implement device drivers and bring-up new hardware for the first time, including BSW configuration
• Deliver embedded software components that run on multiple platforms
• Establish best practices for safety critical software development (Senior-level)
• Mentor junior engineers and help set the direction of the program through deep technical analysis (Senior-level)

What you'll need to succeed:

• Passion for Embedded Software Development in C and/or C
• Experience with AUTOSAR Classic or AUTOSAR Adaptive
• One or more of the following
• Experience with CAN-FD and/or Automotive Ethernet; UDS, DOIP, Some/IP, or ProtoBuf
• Experience with ISO26262 & ASPICE or similar standards for safety critical applications
• Experience with QOS or other RTOS
• Experience with Bazel, Python, Linux, and Docker 
• Experience with Autosar configuration/authoring Tools
• Flexibility to work across all layers of the stack from Device Drivers to software components
• Strong communication skills to collaborate across the V-model
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 4 years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or PhD)

The expected base salary range for this full-time position in California is $152,320 - $209,440 USD. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Latitude employees are also eligible to participate in Latitude’s annual bonus programs, equity compensation, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
