Job Description:
We are seeking a GIS Project Manager with a strong background in RiskMAP to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of GIS projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of geospatial technologies and methodologies, as well as hands-on experience in managing projects related to risk assessment and mapping. Experience working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is highly desirable, as it will contribute to the successful execution of our projects within the government sector. This position is onsite 1 day a week.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the execution of GIS projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Utilize your expertise in RiskMAP to design and implement effective risk assessment and mapping strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive GIS solutions that meet client requirements and align with industry best practices.
Coordinate project activities, including data collection, analysis, and visualization, to produce accurate and timely deliverables.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns and providing regular updates on project progress and milestones.
Conduct risk assessments and identify potential challenges or obstacles, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
Mentor and support team members, providing guidance on GIS techniques, methodologies, and project management best practices.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Utilize your knowledge of FEMA processes to enhance project deliverables and ensure alignment with FEMA guidelines, where applicable.
Prepare comprehensive project documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Salary : $100,000 - $125,000
