This role is responsible for Human Resources Information System maintenance and Payroll functions. This role will report directly to the Plant Human Resources Manager and oversee the entire payroll process including payroll performance review oversight, tax computation, auditing, and any additional duties related to the issuance of regular and supplemental payroll functions for all Aluma-Form, Inc. locations.
Additionally, you will manage HR-related compliance matters, assist with recruiting as needed, administer; and handle generalist and ad hoc projects. Candidates should be task oriented, possess a positive attitude, A desire for a long-term HR career, and excellent interpersonal communication.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accurately process bi- weekly multi-state payroll for the entire Aluma- Form, Incorporated Organization as well as reconcile time records and payroll accounts to ensure complete accuracy.
- Communicates closely with the Plant Human Resources Manager for all compensation related matters.
- Calculate and processes retroactive wage and salary increases and /or decreases.
- Conducts accurate audits on all employee payroll, employee payroll records, employee payroll tax records, and all other payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance with both state and federal regulations.
- Responsible for verifying city, state and federal reports are filed on time and accurately (quarterly, annually, W-2s, etc.).
- Maintain and update payroll system and time keeping system to keep records current and ensure the systems are communicating correctly.
- Communicate departmental expectations and update staff at all levels across the company.
- Process new hires into the payroll system including auditing data that is imported from applicant tracking system for accuracy and completion.
- Process all employment verifications within guidelines of company policies.
- Process and manage all wage orders/ liens that come in for employees.
- Run, manage, and communicates all payroll related reports by deadlines provided by management.
- Advise employee staff on all payroll matters as needed.
Requirements:
- B.S./B.A. in related filed of study with an emphasis in Human Resources or Payroll.
- Minimum of 2 years of Payroll/H.R. (experience processing payroll for 200-500 employees preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
- Proficiency with current Payroll Systems: (i.e. Paylocity, Web Time, Paylocity, Web Pay ).
