Legal Billing Specialist

Overview 

 We have an immediate opening for a legal billing specialist to join our team in its Wilmington Headquarters office. The candidate must possess excellent communication, problem-solving and time management skills. We are looking for someone who loves digging into detailed work that can help our billing attorneys revise, process, and issue accurate billing every month in a timely manner. Experience in accounts receivable and consistent follow up is a plus. Job seekers should have at least 2 years of billing experience with the billing process, be meticulous and organized, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Main Points

  • 3 days in office – M/F work from home. 
  • Pay: 65k-80k depending on experience 
  • Prior legal billing experience is a must
  • Need experience in legal billing software 
  • Bachelors Degree required 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for firm legal billing including working with external electronic billing applications.
  • Apply and edit time entries; finalize and distribute billings.
  • Monitor and maintain firm client databases.
  • Monitor and quality control of firm billing and firm conflict checks.
  • Prepare accountings of client accounts for attorneys.
  • Research client billing inquiries and respond to them.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on trends in firm costs.
  • Assist Accounting Department with special projects as required
