The Senior Staff Accountant will play a critical role in our accounting department and have the responsibility to prepare accounting and financial reports for both internal and external customers while ensuring accurate reporting.

General Summary: Prepares accounting and financial reports for both internal and external customers and ensures accurate reporting.
Essential Job Functions:
Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues.
Prepares and maintains period general and standard journal entries, income and balance sheet statements, account reconciliations, cost reports and various other accounting statements and reports.
Provides account analysis regarding assigned general ledger accounts.
Prepares period and annual financial statements in a timely manner.
Maintains all fixed asset records; enters all fixed asset information into our FAS Software for tax and depreciation records.
Maintains and analyzes inventories.
Scope of Responsibility: Implement procedures that benefit the overall productivity and quality of work performed in the functions described above. Must be highly analytical and inquisitive with strong organizational abilities, keen attention to detail and ability to meet period deadlines and goals
Authority: Reports directly to Controller. Provides assistance to others in the accounting department.
Communication: This position requires communication with all terminal managers, C-Team members, shop managers, and all accounting personnel.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
Experience: Minimum 3 years related accounting experience, required.
