YOUR ROLE
Launch Potato is seeking a data-driven FP&A/BI Analyst to join our growing Finance team. In this role you will be a key partner to our CFO. You will collaborate across the entire organization, and will have the opportunity to help inform and develop strategic business initiatives. In addition to building on the foundation for developing actionable insights, you will play a critical role in budgeting/forecasting and helping to develop business growth opportunities by diving deep into data. You will also help in any potential M&A opportunities that Launch Potato is considering. This individual will have demonstrated success in a hyper-growth startup or any quantitative field, and thrives working in a fast paced data-driven environment.
SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Build and maintain annual budgets and forecasts including developing and maintaining detailed driver-based financial models
- Build relationships with senior leaders throughout the organization and provide support to help the team meet and exceed their goals
- Assist senior leadership to identify strategic initiatives and coordinate projects to address opportunities and risks - will involve deep data analysis
- Prepare monthly financial packages for various stakeholders
- Partner with all teams to manage monthly spend
- Assist in building financial models and analytics for potential M&A opportunities
- Partner with accounting team to build trusted financial reporting systems and internal processes
- Identify and help implement an FP&A platform (i.e. Adaptive Insights, etc)
- Deliver on ad hoc projects
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- You have 3-5 years of experience in a hyper growth startup, financial services or any quantitative field
- You have excellent Excel skills, experience with Looker and other BI tools, and have the ability to quickly learn new financial applications and systems
- You are passionate about instituting new processes and implementing the latest technology in a fast paced, data-driven environment
- You have sound communication skills, as you will be partnering with our investors, board members, and vendor partners
- Must have experience in the digital media industry
