What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Launch Potato?
YOUR ROLE
We need someone like you to help launch and manage a compliance program across our websites, including FinanceBuzz. If you're looking to make a great impact while leveraging innovative technologies, Launch Potato is the place for you! As the Compliance Program Manager, you will work alongside the Senior Product Manager and account management teams to create and execute a successful compliance program. Your contributions will directly impact FinanceBuzz and its 8 million (and growing!) visitors who come to our site each month, as well as other Launch Potato products.
SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
- Reviewing, gathering and documenting all existing compliance policies and documentation into one centralized location
- Reviewing the policies and establishing a plan for an ongoing compliance program to include: implementing, monitoring, auditing, and an alerting system for our most at risk verticals (Credit Cards, Investing, Banking, Credit Services)
- Becoming an expert in partner guidelines, terms and conditions, and our current and previous product offerings so that you can efficiently monitor and audit our sites
- Training & educating the team on compliance policies and best practices
- Working closely with account management, editorial team, and technology teams to ensure compliance across all product offerings
- Creating and maintaining compliance documentation for auditing purposes
- Conducting manual reviews of FinanceBuzz and other Launch Potato products to ensure compliance
- Effectively communicating guidelines and obtain clarity from card issuers and other partners such as banking and investing as necessary
- Developing and maintaining positive working relationship with both internal and external clients
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- 2 years of product management experience owning a product, process or project
- Compliance background preferred
- Experience performing audits
- Background in creating documentation for processes and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and self-determination to produce great outcomes
- Intellectually curious; not afraid to dig into the trends or ask questions
- Process-oriented; can identify process improvements and bring them to life
- Strong communication skills, written and oral; you should be comfortable communicating and educating the team, cross-functionally and at all levels about the compliance program status and metrics
- Strong project management, organization skills
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience working on highly trafficked consumer-facing applications
- Experience in the personal finance industry (credit cards, banking, investing)
- A good sense of humor
