Overview: Laura F. Dabney, M.D. PC, a thriving fee-for-service private boutique practice, was started and built over the last 20 years by Dr. Dabney herself. We pride ourselves on implementing a very unique model of treatment that has been designed to speed up and maximize our client's results, while ultimately aiming to get them to the root of their problems so that they can be resolved for good. We are a small practice who values teamwork, collaboration, and communication. Through all of these we are able to dedicate ample attention to our patients both administratively and clinically, and we love seeing the results of that in our client's satisfaction and progress.
We are currently seeking a mental health provider to join our location in Virginia Beach, VA. The position will give you flexibility with on and off-site sessions, and is part-time with workable-to-your-schedule hours as well as an opportunity to work full time if so desired.
We are looking for a candidate who is, ideally, dynamically-oriented and who also possesses a Master's, PhD, or PsyD to perform therapy for adults struggling with various relational and emotional problems. Clinical opportunities include performing mental health assessments and ongoing therapy to highly motivated couples and individuals. The provider will have access to a fully furnished, modern office with a waiting area, administrative staff and computer. NO hospital work, paperwork, or phone calls. We want our providers to be able to focus solely on their patients.
Compensation is split-fee and above the area norm.
What You Will Do:
- Make assessments and interpretations based on intake evaluations/assessments and therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with other providers to evaluate the medical and physical condition of
clients. - Formulate and create personalized interventions, treatments, and management plans for
clients. - Assess clients' risk, considering their mental health and social needs when performing
interventions. - Interact with clients and other parties regarding performing interventions.
- Employ various treatment methods such as psycho(dynamic)therapy and behavior modification.
- Measure the effectiveness of interventions and implementing changes where required.
- Ensure the maintenance and safe storage of accurate program and client records, and all other
pertinent documents. - Maintain confidentiality of clients’ treatment and records in accordance with HIPAA.
- Participate in weekly supervision meetings with team members.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree, PhD, or PsyD
- Licensed in the state of VA
- Professional demeanor, ability to interact appropriately with staff and patients
- Team-oriented
- Expertise in clinical intervention
- Strong diagnostic and clinical writing skills
