Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily processing and month end close of accounts payable in the AP system.
- Maintain accounting controls by enforcing policies and procedures surrounding the expenditures cycle.
- Directs the processing of 1099s at year end.
- Manage customer relationships (internal/external) to ensure consistent service is provided.
- Prepare analytical reports as assigned or requested by Treasurer or other Ciena corporate staff.
- Direct 3 Accounts Payable personnel on processing, coding, month end close, training, etc.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in accounting or similar designation preferred.
- Strong computer skills including a solid understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond effectively to questions from management and facility associates.
- Experience with automated invoice processing is desired.
