The opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced psychiatric NP leader to fill a full time vacancy as the Director of Provider Development and Quality Assurance. This role is 100% remote and can be located anywhere in the United States, but requires the candidate to hold a New York state psychiatric nurse practitioner license.
The Director provides clinical guidance, oversight, and quality assurance for a rapidly growing and innovative telepsychiatry practice. They are responsible for ensuring optimal outcomes for clients and will take a systematic approach in driving clinical improvement by tracking, monitoring and reporting on quality and safety measures. They will work in partnership with the leadership team to lead and develop plans that enhance client satisfaction and experience of care. The Director will also develop and improve best practice clinical policies and procedures.
The Director also serves as a leader to the psychiatric nurse practitioner team. They will lead a comprehensive orientation program for new hires, as well as provide ongoing training, monitoring, and performance management of the clinical staff. Other responsibilities include recruitment of psychiatric nurse practitioners, triaging client intake forms, managing clinical escalations, and providing periodic NP coverage on an as needed basis. This role also requires that the Director maintain a small roster of their own Lavender clients, providing approximately eight (8) hours of direct clinical care in the form of psychiatric medication management and therapy appointments.

The candidate:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Active psychiatric nurse practitioner license in New York
- Superb psychiatric assessment and diagnostic skills
- 3 years experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner
- 2 years of leadership experience either as a registered nurse or nurse practitioner
- Technologically savvy
- Experience in implementing and evaluating Quality Improvement Programs
- Loves to mentor and support other nurses
- Must have own computer and a quiet, professional space to work from home
