Law Offices Of Louis B. Papell is looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our busy law firm. Our firm specializes in workers compensation law.

Legal Secretary knowledge, abilities, and skills needed:

  • Experience in using a dictating machine, legal terminology, legal forms, court procedures, medical terminology and applicable timeframes.
  • Typing 60 wpm
  • Managing and handling a heavy workload under pressure with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and perform varied tasks and track multiple deadlines simultaneously in a high volume, fast-paced, litigation intensive work environment.
  • Good organizational skills, typing with speed and accuracy, familiarity with legal filings, service and calendaring.

You must have great customer service skills and the ability to multi tasks in a fast pace environment. Have the ability to file Petitions, Liens, DOR's and file Objections to adversaries document.

  • Knowledge of AME/PQME process and review of medical reports.
  • Experience with with EAMS/ WCAB procedures.
  • Responsibilities Prepare files for Depositions
  • Prepare files for MSC, PC, and Trials
  • Familiarity with Med Legal Process.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
