Norristown Law Firm seeks an administrative legal assistant to join our team of 10 attorneys (individual will be responsible for at least 4). Candidate should have a minimum of 3 years-experience working in a law firm environment. The position is partially in person and partially remote. The position requires a self-starter and team player, who can work independently and is flexible with work assignments. The candidate should be intelligent, professional, and have excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills. Candidate must be technologically proficient with MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, and Acrobat Adobe, and have the ability to turn work around in an efficient manner. Experience with e-filing in the local and state court systems is expected but not necessary.
Duties include, but are not limited to, drafting simple documents such as Entry of Appearance and Certificate of Service, e-filing in various counties, picking-up/dropping-off mail, scanning and distributing mail and facsimiles to office staff, answering telephone and transferring calls as a part-time duty, working with attorneys on administrative tasks such as using the billing system, and recording plans, agreements, and deeds online or in person.
