Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Probate/Estate Planning Paralegal. The Paralegal will be responsible for legal document preparation, communication with clients, conducting research, participating in meetings with clients, and document review. The position is primarily located in Castle Rock, CO, but offers flexibility for some remote work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Assist clients with funding services
● Administer intestate and testate estates after death
● Administer trusts after death
● Prepare and scan estate plans and all ancillary documents
● Assist Personal Representative in all required actions of estate administration as needed and agreed upon at engagement
● Prepare inventories and accountings for trustees
● Maintain impeccable notes and records.
Qualifications:
● A minimum of 2 years experience in trusts & estates practice as a paralegal
● Experience in the administration and support of estates and trusts including general understanding of fiduciary duties and obligations
● Excellent customer service skills
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
● Ability to use standard office equipment such as copy machines, multi-line telephones, fax machines
● Additional skills require include ability to work with figures, a willingness to learn and absorb technical information, attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
● Strong computer skills including proficiency with trust accounting systems. We use a large number of software systems. The ability and willingness to learn new tech is a must.
● Must have access to reliable internet and vehicle.
● Good listening and problem solving skills

Work is performed under moderate supervision. The use of initiative, independent judgment, and problem solving is expected and encouraged.
