The Test Security Associate will be responsible for various aspects of test security and quality control, under the direction of the Manager of Test Security. The Associate will work in cooperation with others in the Office of Test Security to ensure that all aspects of quality control/compliance and test security initiatives are completed within budget and on schedule to assist in effective implementation of test security strategy.

 

$20-$24/hr.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. The individual employed in this position will be required to:

  • Coordinate all aspects of the Office of Test Security’s day-to-day procedures.
  • Perform the administrative work of the Office of Test Security to ensure all aspect of training and test security activities are completed within budget and on schedule.
  • Assist and engage in test security audits and evaluate observations (announced and unannounced) during test administrations.
  • Represent LSAC’s Office of Test Security at industry conferences and center trainings.
  • Administer the score challenge process (QTSRB).
  • Assist the implementation of the Test Security Training Program in dual delivery environments.
  • Maintain post-training evaluations and records.
  • Draft correspondence with test takers and test centers to accomplish Office of Test Security responsibilities.
  • Coordinate special projects upon direction from the Manager of Test Security.
  • Assist in identifying and targeting areas of security training opportunity.
  • Preparing special communications and informational materials for distribution to evaluate supervisors and other external stakeholders.
  • Asist in the administration of investigations and interviews in security incidents involving test takers and test administrators.
  • Maintain and administer test taker limit appeals process.
  • Assist and maintain reports to internal stakeholders of the Office of Test Security’s activities.
  • Able to travel up to 10% of time, some weekends and weeknights expected.
  • Assist other departments within Candidate Services boundary with phone support and test security escalations, some weekends and weeknights expected.

Qualifications

Competencies:

  • Good organizational skills and the ability to follow through and complete assignments.
  • Exercise good judgment and discretion always with overly sensitive and confidential material.
  • Ability to accurately proofread is required, including good grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, project management skills, and the ability to work with shifting priorities required.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player as well as an individual contributor.

 

Required Experience and Education:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in an office environment to include advanced experience on word processing, spreadsheets, and Power Point systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role does not have people management responsibilities.

Position Type:

The LSAC standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. ET. While these are the standard office hours for LSAC, as an exempt employee, the employee will be expected to work the hours necessary to satisfactorily complete their assignments in a responsible and professional manner.

Travel:

 

This position requires up to 10% travel. Some of the travel is international.

 

Work Environment:

 

This job operates in a remote and professional office environment. Whether remote or in-office, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
