What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treatment Coordinator Assist position at Lawless Orthodontics?
The TC Assist is an extended representative of the doctor and the practice. The primary responsibility of this person is to take the new patient and family on a tour of the office, take the appropriate records, upload the photos and x-ray, introduce the new patient and his/her family to the TC, and create an excellent rapport and relationship with these new patients. The TC Assist should be an incredibly upbeat and fun person with the ability to engage both children and adults.
Reports To: The Doctor
Summary of Position:
Responsible for helping with new patients' smooth transition into the practice and taking of records.
Responsibilities:
Record Taking Duties at beginning of exam
· Pull up on computer any appropriate x-rays and sibling records available
· Greet new patients for the examination appointment
· Conduct an impressive tour of the office
· Take photos and xrays on each patient. Be sure the patient is not pregnant.
· Upload photos into computer
· Introduce the patient to the treatment coordinator. Share all the information the patient/parent told you.
Record Taking Duties at end of exam if the patient is going ahead with treatment
· Take upper and lower 3D scan
Duties between patients
· Restock records room (records and clinical supplies)
· Be responsible for cleanliness of the records area
· Change batteries in camera as needed
· Prepare deband kits
· Keep floors, counters, and sinks in the records room spotless
· Turn equipment on and off each day
· Be an active participant in staff meetings and committee meetings.
· Perform other tasks as assigned by the doctor.
· Work cohesively with fellow team members to provide an atmosphere of trust, mutual respect, and cooperation.
Skill/Abilities:
Clinical: Proficiency in all clinical skills
Interpersonal: Excellent interpersonal skills; able to welcome new patients and deliver an exceptional introduction to the practice; able to maintain smooth running team environment throughout the office
Verbal Skills: Effective verbal skills to communicate to Doctor, referring dentists, parents, and patients
Computer Skills: Proficiency in electronic treatment card and Microsoft Word. Computer entry. Patient tracking. Imaging. Graphics.
Problem Solving: Effective conflict resolution, problem identification, problem resolution, and decision making skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
