Positioning itself as “New York’s Leisure Headquarters,” Lawn Club features indoor and outdoor gaming lawns in a massive 25,000 square foot venue, along with amazing cocktails and a small menu of tasty bites.
Designed to deliver the ideal atmosphere for hanging out with friends, each rentable lawn at Lawn Club will come with a full complement of popular lawn games including bocce, cornhole, croquet, ladders, kan jam, beersbee and lawn pong, along with big-screen TVs for sports enjoyment, courtside F&B service, and dedicated “Lawncierges” to help with all gaming needs. Lawn Club also features two regulation shuffle board courts and two putting pool greens.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Bar Operations Manager is a key part of bringing the Lawn Club vision to life and plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the establishment. With a primary focus on delivering a welcoming, fun and memorable experience for guests and fostering a positive environment for staff, this role will oversee day-to-day operations, set-up, opening, and closing procedures for Lawn Club’s bars.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring the guest experience delivers on the Lawn Club brand promise of being the ideal place to hang out with friends
- Supervising and enhancing the customer experience at the bar, ensuring exceptional service delivery
- Ensuring that set-up, opening, and closing procedures are followed to maintain operational excellence
- Providing hands-on support to bartenders during peak hours, assisting with customer service and drink preparation
- Supervising staff on a day-to-day basis, creating a positive environment, monitoring performance, and handling any guest inquiries; escalating issues accordingly
- Handling and supporting administrative duties such as ordering, scheduling, inventory management, waste control, payroll, and other related tasks
- Conducting regular inventory checks and reporting any discrepancies to management
- Ensuring cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including back of house areas
· Adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
· Consistently reporting to scheduled shifts on time and ready to work in proper uniform
· Operating ethically at all times
· Performing other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant environment
- Minimum 1 year of management or supervisory experience
- Extensive knowledge of bar lifecycles and setup, spirits, cocktail ingredients, and garnishes
- Familiarity with alcohol service and food safety standards, including DOH protocols
- Knowledge of alcohol service and food safety standards
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis).
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the work area and property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment
- Climbing steps regularly
The base pay range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000.00 a year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment
history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
