Summary Objective: The Membership Manager, along with the General Manager, leads and manages membership sales generation and ensures all club operations are consistent with US Fitness standards. Membership Managers also may assist the General Manager in all club operations.
Essential Functions:
- Deliver the ultimate fitness experience to every member, every time
- Meet established monthly sales and performance goals by prospecting and telemarketing
- Complete Smart Start appointments upon enrollment of new members
- Assist in Personal Training sales as directed by General Manager
- Create positive experiences for all guests and prospects
- Exhibit excellent customer service – greets members by name, guests, and staff with a smile
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure membership agreements are filled out accurately and completely
- Ensure every member is issued a key tag and entered into appropriate computer system(s)
- Set appointments and maintain schedules
- Completes follow up calls to prospects, membership renewals, etc.
- Promote sales of pro shop items, drinks, and supplements
- Perform club walk-throughs and inspections and perform tasks including re-racking all weights, checking bathrooms, wiping down equipment, filling paper towel and water bottle dispensers, and taking out trash. Keep your assigned area clean
- Oversee cleaning of overall club by managing cleaning crew and the cleaning/maintenance staff members.
- Maintain daily cleaning checklist for nightly cleaning crew, front desk, and maintenance person to complete every day
- Serve as Manager on Duty as needed
- Hold staff accountable for their key results and checklists
- Leads staff by example
- Ensures the front desk is operated with the focus on customer service
- Maintains the desk in clean and efficient order
- Ensures bathrooms are well-maintained and fully stocked
- Promptly communicates any maintenance issues to general manager
- Attends and actively participates in Department meetings
- Interacts with other staff members in a positive, professional manner
- Assume other responsibilities as needed
- Work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
