Job Description:
As an Event Production Assistant, you will play a critical role in the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of events. This position requires strong physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. The ideal candidate will be proactive, punctual, and willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and teardown of event equipment, including tables, chairs, stages, tents, lighting, and sound systems.
- Load and unload event materials from trucks and transportation vehicles.
- Ensure all event areas are clean, organized, and presentable.
- Follow instructions from event coordinators and supervisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Perform general labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving heavy items.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Provide excellent customer service to event attendees and other staff members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in event setup and breakdown is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation to and from event sites.
- Driving experience with Box Trucks & Pick-up / trailers needed, must have good driving record.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand/walk for the duration of a 6-8 hour shift in all weather conditions
- Capacity to handle physical exertion, including bending, kneeling, and climbing.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors (hot and cold weather conditions)
