Greeting Guests & Customer Service:

• Welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a warm and friendly demeanor. Assist guests with seating arrangements, taking into account their preferences and any special requests.
• Manage waiting lists during peak hours, ensuring guests are informed of wait times and kept comfortable.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns and resolving any issues in a professional manner.
• Ensure guests leave with a positive impression of the restaurant and a desire to return.

Reservation Management:

• Handle incoming reservation inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
• Accurately record reservation details and update the reservation system accordingly.
• Organize seating assignments to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.

Communication and Coordination:

• Maintain effective communication with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operation.
• Relay special requests, dietary restrictions, and other relevant information to the appropriate team members.
• Coordinate with other front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.

Appearance and Presentation:

• Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times, adhering to the restaurant's dress code.
• Keep the hostess stand and entrance area clean and organized, presenting an inviting atmosphere to guests.

Team Support:

• Assist with various tasks during slow periods, such as rolling silverware, restocking supplies, or helping with to-go orders.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure all aspects of service run smoothly.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a hostess or similar customer service role preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of SevenRooms a plus
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
