Here at Laytonsville Veterinary Practice we are looking for an experienced technician/assistant and/or inexperienced in veterinary medicine, we have a great team to work with for training. Are you motivated? Do you work well with others in a team? If so, we want you on our LVP Team!

Laytonsville Veterinary Practice is a full-service clinic that provides routine and emergency care, and has been in the area for over 30 years.

A typical day ranges from routine exams, vaccines, critical cases, diagnostics, dentistry, and most surgical procedures with the exception of orthopedic and specialty procedures.

Some responsibilities of our medical staff (which varies in experience and comfort level) includes; assisting with appointments, cleaning, restraining, venipuncture and obtaining samples, running diagnostic tests in the lab, placement of IV catheters, assisting with surgery, monitoring anesthesia and recovery, performing dental cleanings, taking digital X-rays, carrying out treatment plans for hospitalized patients, and talking with clients - taking histories, going over continued care and more.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Saturday availability

This position, regardless of full or part time, does require work on afternoons/evenings and Saturday mornings (rotation).
