LBS is seeking a Fuel Systems Site Manager to support fuel maintenance and operations at military bases throughout the region. The role will oversee the daily operations of fuel facilities. *This position is contingent upon award of contract

This position requires an on-site presence to perform preventative/recurring or as needed maintenance at different Army and Air Force base locations throughout Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Honduras, and Puerto Rico.

SCHEDULE

- 75% travel throughout AL, FL, MS, NC, SC, Honduras, and Puerto Rico
- 40-45 hours per week
- Monday - Friday day shift
- Rarely any weekend work

WHAT YOU DO

  • Performs site maintenance tasks related to fuel systems, such as identifying and troubleshooting fuel systems discrepancies, minor construction activities, preventative and corrective maintenance, and repair projects at geographically prescribed locations.
  • When not on site, works from dedicated space or home office at residence.
  • Supervise, train, andwork alongside 1 Fuel Mechanic
  • Manage discipline issues, communicate performance expectations, and provide feedback to employees
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate fuel maintenance site activities to optimize resources and facilities to meet the PWS specifications.
  • Conduct weekly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual inspections.
  • Prepare, update, and submit internal and external reports (schedules, deficiency lists, recurring maintenance reports, etc.)
  • Develop Service Order cost estimates, logistics and construction schedules, and coordinate field execution
  • Develop technical scopes of work for repair and modification Service Orders for Department of Defense (DoD) Fuel facilities as part of the USACE RMMR program. Repairs will be developed in accordance with UFC 3-460-01 “Design: Petroleum Facilities,” American Petroleum Institute (API) Standard 650 “Advanced Tank & Construction,” and applicable Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS).
  • Procure material required by repair or maintenance work.
  • Be available on-call to respond to emergencies within 72 hours (which may require additional time on the road). Note: Emergencies happen fairly often.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5 years of experience in liquid fuels maintenance or construction on various types of fuel systems that can include marine loading arms, bulk fuel facilities, hot pit fueling systems, gas station dispensing systems, cathodic protection systems, and leak detection systems.
  • 3 years of experience in site management or construction management experience.
  • OSHA 30
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of tools, including Word, Excel, Database and PowerPoint and capable of uploading daily/weekly field reports with photos to cloud-based information management systems.
  • Ability to use/learn Quickbase, eMaint, MaintainX, Timberland and/or other software programs that manage information and schedules.
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders up to 50' in height, scaffolds, stairs and sometimes work in confined spaces in proximity to loud equipment.
  • Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
