LCA Networks seeks an experienced part-time bookkeeper to keep all of our financial records accurate and up to date in our on-line QuickBooks database. Our current bookkeeper is still on board and is set to retire and will assist with training the new Bookkeeper on how our QB records are all entered and managed. We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper who may also have suggestions and input for further optimizing our bookkeeping processes. We anticipate this to be about 32-40 hours per month.
This work can be done from home in the Jersey Shore area (with some initial WebEx training) and a company laptop and all necessary software and account accesses to support this administrative function will be provided.
Initial Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records implementing standard bookkeeping methods using QuickBooks (QB)
- Interfacing w/LCA Networks current Bookeeper to learn the process of entering in new job orders, payroll information, expenses, and other pertinent financial data into QB and other important processes for taking over all Bookkeeping responsibilities.
- Once up to speed, Entering Excel based sales order records, payroll, expenses, and other important financial records data into QB
- Generate financial reports and statements for management review and coordinating these reports for our creditors and our CPA.
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Collaborate with LCA personnel to gather necessary financial information
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Quicken) and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel)
- Excellent understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger accounts
- Solid understanding of technical accounting concepts and procedures
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Familiarity with corporate accounting procedures and financial report writing
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
