Work Hours: M-F 7:00am - 3:30pm

Construction Maintenance Worker/Repairer Position Summary: This position is responsible for the overall maintenance and repairs of all facilities/equipment and the daily operation of all mechanical systems, renovations of existing facilities, and/or new construction. Required to be on standby, as scheduled, to work irregular and overtime hours, and respond to callouts when needed.
Construction Maintenance Worker/Repairer Position Responsibilities
- Perform all types of commercial/general building maintenance repairs. New construction duties/tasks to include but not limited to rough/finish plumbing, rough/finish carpentry, and rough/finish electrical, welding.
- Proper and safe operation of company vehicles, equipment, and power tools to maintain facilities.
- Respond to emergency restorations.
- Respond when called to assist and /or contain oil or fuel spill clean ups.
- Maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers at all levels within LCEC. Ensure smooth operations, productive communications, and effective understanding during all interpersonal contacts. Provide current and accurate information to all requesters, courteously and in a timely manner.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent. (Required)
Experience
- 2 to 5 Years' experience in all phases of building construction, commercial/general maintenance, and mechanical systems, developing material lists, and reading and following blueprints. (Required)
- 2 to 5 Years' experience in all phases of building construction, commercial/general maintenance, and mechanical systems. (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic PC skills. (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- Driver License, Valid and in State, Class B drivers’ license or obtain within 90 days. (Required)
- HVAC Certification: Completion of electrical and HVAC courses recognized in the building and construction industry. (Preferred)

STORM DUTY REQUIREMENTS.... Responding to storms will be considered a condition of employment: LCEC provides critical services to our community during an emergency. Employees are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our LCEC members. Employees are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's guidelines and procedures.
