Job Description

LCG, Inc. is seeking an Application Development Manager that will lead team working across various technologies in support of multiple federal enterprise systems. Ability to collaborate and clearly and effectively communicate with clients, end users and internal resources to ensure compliance with all stakeholder needs.

Role Responsibilities:
Provide direction of technical, architectural and design efforts.
Deliver high quality software products and ongoing alignment with business objectives.
Drive efficiencies in the development team through the use of tools, processes, and effective resource management.
Manage delivery of multiple and concurrent product releases.
Plan, assign and direct the activities of professional and technical personnel involved in the design, development and systems analysis functions required to create new applications programs or install and implement software purchased from outside vendors.
Conduct meetings with management, client and stakeholders to determine requirements and project priorities
Review performance of applications to ensure efficiency, program documentation, and to ensure that output meets the stakeholder requirements.
Demonstrated ability to work on proposals and briefings
Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze complex business problems in order to define and develop technology-based solutions.

Skills Requirements:
Experience serving in a management or lead role within an Agile and Waterfall environment.
Strong technical knowledge.
Experience with Scrum processes.
Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Personal management skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize based on competing demands.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact with and influence all levels of the business as well as clients, partners, and prospects.
Dedication to effective hiring, including creating staffing plans, writing job descriptions, attracting talent, hiring and retaining great employees.
Exceptional leadership and people skills, ability to manage personnel activities of staff.
Passion for quality and continuous improvement of processes and software, well versed with software engineering practices. (e.g. Continuous Engineering, Build/Deploy, Unit Testing, Regression Testing, Test & Staging Environments.)

Requirements:
Object Oriented, Software Application Development experience.
Minimum 8 years of Software Development leadership experience, in a mentoring/coaching capacity.
Specific knowledge of J2EE, ASP.NET, and open source technologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
CMMI experience - Preferred
Certified Scrum Master – Preferred
