I. JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: As assigned
Location: Daytona Beach, FL.
Reports to: Plant Manager
II. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Supervise all department employees, regular and contract. Develop/initiate plan production goals, work orders and minimum balances.
III. RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS
None
IV. BUSINESS COMMUNICATION
Must be able to communicate with manager and co-workers.
V. SUPERVISION REQUIRED
Minimal supervision with weekly goals and monthly performance reviews.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED.
- TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Supervisory skills. Good math and reading skills.
VIII. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Two to five years previous supervisory experience within a production environment preferred.
IX. TRAVEL REQUIRED

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Verify time card reports weekly, communicate with payroll if absences are excused, unexcused or scheduled off.- Place employees at workstations and ensure that employees have work at all times.
- Track and/or record daily production.
- Ensure labeling meets GSA specifications.
- Work with plant manager in ensuring that all orders are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Monitor quality by inspecting samples of work at various stages of production.
- Manage raw material distribution.
- Represent an example to department employees by following and enforcing company policies, especially company safety rules.
- Manage the production and shipping schedule for department orders.
- Oversee inventory of raw materials and finished products for the Department.
- Provide additional training as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
