Warehouse (Person) Worker – BSC
I. JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Base Supply Stores
Location: Various/Remote
Reports to: Store Manager or Assistant Manager
II. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
To assemble customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
III. RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS
None
IV. BUSINESS COMMUNICATION
Communication with customers, base supply managers and other employees.
V. SUPERVISION REQUIRED
Daily
EDUCATION REQUIRED
High School Graduate, with two years relevant training.
TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Incumbent will have a through working knowledge of warehouse operations.
VIII. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Forklift experience is required. Warehouse experience in the military or commercial environment is required.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will be involved in warehouse operations to include receipting for material, storing material, moving material to retail sales floor and warehouse. In select stores this may include hazardous materials.
- (Pack and Inspect Orders that have been filled and completed, verify stock count and accuracy and produce Packing Slip, correct any and all order errors, produce MSDS sheets and any other internal document required by customer, sign off on Quality Review and move order on to shipping station.)
Assemble and inspect outgoing customer orders. Verify accuracy and stock count, correct any order errors, produce any paperwork to include SDSs and packing slips required by the customer then sign off on Quality Review and move order to shipping station.
- Conduct regular product warehouse inventories.
- Participate in area maintenance to include cleaning floors, work tables and stations, distribution office, repack areas, receiving areas and staging areas.
- Perform safety checks on forklifts, material handling equipment and machinery prior to use. Ensure that forklifts / material handling equipment are connected to electrical recharges as necessary.
- Participates in cycle counting and periodic inventories which includes, but is not limited to, the upkeep, cleanliness and organization of all assigned areas.
- Assist on the sales floor or with deliveries, including operating the delivery truck, as directed by management. Perform daily safety checks on truck prior to use.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by store management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a moderate office or warehouse environment. Individual may be required to get into and out of, load and unload vehicles as required.
XVI. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record; depending on the hiring location a commercial driver’s license and medical certificate may be required.
