The purpose of this role will be to coordinate the day-to-day operations of Life Care Services properties for The Delaney Rental portfolio. This individual will interface with senior management, sponsors of senior living communities, and community management staff while planning, directing, developing, and implementing Life Care Services management systems within a controlled atmosphere. This person will also develop new management strategies and make recommendations based upon constructive analysis.

The Role:
- Direct and supervise the day-to-day management activities of senior living communities for Life Care Services Rental portfolio
- Interview, hire, discipline, supervise, teach and direct immediate subordinates who are Executive Directors of senior living communities
- Review, evaluate, and make recommendations concerning the operational and financial performance of senior living communities
- Serve as a liaison between Life Care Services and sponsors of senior living communities
- Work with Executive Directors and Financial Services department to prepare annual operating and capital expense budgets for approval by supervisor and VP/Director of Operations Management or SVP/Director of Operations Management
- Ensure that all company policies and procedures, including marketing, clinical, management and accounting are implemented and followed
- Work with Executive Directors to collaboratively develop community goals and objectives, and monitor progress monthly
- Attend board meetings and scheduled owner’s meetings as directed by supervisor
- Conduct performance evaluations on subordinates and make appropriate recommendations based on evaluations
- Coordinate, conduct, and evaluate quality assurance studies and resident satisfaction surveys as required
- Assist communities with problem solving
- Institute and monitor systems of cost containment
- Coordinate activities of Life Care Services ancillary services in providing support for senior living communities
- Mentor, coach, teach and team build individual community Executive Directors and their teams, as required
Experience:
- Five years’ progressive experience in management, in the area of senior living services with multi-community oversight responsibility
- A four year degree from an accredited college or university in the area of business administration, accounting, finance, gerontology, healthcare administration, or related field
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong planning, budgeting, performance management, employer relations, communications skills
- Experience dealing with employees from all divisions/departments of the company at all levels
- Strong decision-making and negotiating ability, administrative skills and confidentiality is expected of all upper management level.
- Demonstrated skills and abilities to effectively manage, supervise, train and communicate with community personnel
- Must be able to travel up to 80% of the time and be located close to a large airport
