The Regional Director, Plant Operations supports all Plant and Environmental Service operations necessary to ensure smooth operation of the assigned communities within the assigned Legacy portfolio.
This individual will assist in the planning, and building of a strategic vision for plant operations, and ensures effective plans and controls are in place. Assists in creating plans and mechanisms to ensure facilities and services are properly positioned to deliver high-quality living experiences for all residents, centered on their experience and the overall safety of residents and employees.

The Role:
- Provides consultation and support on all plant operations and environmental services matters for the Legacy portfolio and employees in the assigned group.
- Work with senior living operations leadership, asset management, and community team to develop and drive plant operations services goals and plans.
- Work with community team to ensure the LCS (Life Care Services) Quality Standards Manual is implemented and reviewed via the Quality Standards Checklist.
- Provide guidance in developing the overall budget for assigned communities by using CPS (Care Purchasing Services) approved vendors and E-procurement platform in accordance with the Capital Asset Policy.
- Strategically advise on capital projects while offering on-demand project management assistance.
- Keeps abreast of all Federal, State, and local government regulations, especially Life Safety Code and CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) (K & F Tags), issues affecting the plant operations and environmental services functions, and participates in developing or changing policies as needed. Reviews, edits, and recommends changes to community plant operations and environmental services.
- Provides consultation and direction to communities for staff training in emergency preparedness, life safety, personal protective equipment, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) mandated training, and other required training.
- Ensures proper training is available and provided to plant operations and environmental services personnel. Consults with and helps develop community-based training programs with LCS-identified external training partners and LCS Plant Task Force.
- Ensures communities have a thorough and complete emergency disaster plan and assists with facilitating and securing resources needed to execute the plan. Annually reviews assigned communities’ emergency prepared plans with community leadership.
- Work with community team to promote a safety culture and ensure there is participation and leadership in the community safety program.
