What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tester (DGIB) position at Le Fant LLC?
Le'fant is seeking a Tester (in the VA/DC or San Antonio area) to support a GI Bill modernization effort. (Hybrid Position - in office a minimum of 1 week per month)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering / technical discipline and 1 year in Manual Testing. Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
- Must be a US Citizen, Dual Citizen (one being US) or Green Card holder
- Ability to obtain VA Medium-Background Investigation Clearance
- In office a minimum of 1 week per month (VA/DC and San Antonio areas)
The Tester will participate in the planning, constructing, review and execution of test scripts to support the overall project.
The Tester will:
- Work with developers and other team members to identify and architect tests/test plans, support review of tests, execute tests, document results, and log and triage defects.
- Ensure test environments are set up accurately prior to test execution.
- Create test data, as necessary, to support proper execution of all test cases.
- Retest test cases and close out software defects that have been repaired.
- Execute regression testing, as necessary.
- Identify and report issues that may adversely impact timely completion of testing.
- Minimum 6 mos. – 1 year experience in manual testing (application, product, system, regression testing)
