Job Description
Cleveland-Cliffs Tubular Components has an immediate opportunity for an Environmental, Health and Safety Representative at our Walbridge, OH location. The EH&S Representative is responsible for promoting all aspects of the safety program through training, observations, inspections, and audits. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience with a focus on safety.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to the management team on environmental and safety initiatives, local and national safety regulations and best practices identified within this industry.
- Assists shift managers, or conduct, and review all incidents, near-misses, and injury investigations to determine the root cause and corrective actions.
- Conducts or coordinates classroom and individual training sessions for all levels of the EHS program for personnel and contractors.
- Obtain and maintain Mobile Equipment and Crane train-the-trainer certifications. Train personnel as needed.
- Investigates, reviews, and responds to employee safety related issues.
- Performs EHS audits and inspects facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure EHS compliance.
- Helps coordinate emergency response drills and/or emergency evacuation plans.
- Recognizes and reinforces safe work procedures.
- SDS Management
- Update and manage facility LOTO.
- Maintains working knowledge of the facility operation.
- Maintain adequate inventories of PPE, first-aid, and other safety supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prefer 3 years of experience in manufacturing.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, different shifts, and weekends as needed.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

- Proven leadership skills and ability to promote teamwork.
